PURPOSE

To manage the XFBB statis.dat file, which contains the list of connections
that have been made to the system. Without this the statis.dat file just
grows and grows.

At GB7LGS the file had over 800,000 records, covering all connections made
to te system over 5 years, taking up over 11MB of diskspace.

REQUIREMENTS

	PERL

INSTALLATION

Check the Paths in the Makefile, if necessary edit $FBBCONF in statis and
dispstat scripts to suit your sysytem configuration then and do:

	make install

This will install the script to be run at each housekeeping.

I suggest that you run the script manually the first time (i.e: run
/usr/lib/fbb/script/maintenance/statis), but it is perhaps worth closing
down XFBB before you do this, as it may break if XFBB is active when the
script removes old entries from the file.
